We have incredibly sad news regarding Humphrey AKA Hound B. We have been asked by his family to share the news with you, as they know Humphrey touched so many of you.
Early May 2018 a four year old Hound was found, emaciated, lost, wondering a field and no one was looking for him. He was named Slinky and we were contacted to take him into our family.
Renamed Humphrey upon arrival it became obvious he needed surgery on his front leg. He had issues with his Ulna. He underwent the required surgery in June 2018 with raffles, coffee for bassets and sponsored walks all in his name to raise the funds.
After a lot of care and rehabilitation by his amazing foster family, Humphrey went to his forever home on the 16th September 2018.
He celebrated birthdays, Christmas, had amazing holidays, was totally spoilt and was loved, so very very loved.
His family would often post updates on this very special boy and kept in contact with us with little updates.
Sadly Humphrey was diagnosed in April with Lymphoma. His wonderful family shared with us today, the devastating news that Humphrey crossed the bridge on Saturday 10th May 2025, in his garden, in the sunshine, surrounded by his family.
Humphrey had an amazing 7 years as part of the BRNGB family; more importantly he had the most wonderful, loving forever family for most of those 7 years.
We are so grateful to Humphrey's foster family, all of his supporters in those early days, but mostly to his family who are devastated by his loss.
Humphrey, Hound B, our special boy, fly high and know you were so very loved.
