Rainbow Bridge Memorial

Below are some of the hounds that came into our care and have since gained their wings and crossed over The Rainbow Bridge.

Bob
This is Bob, he was given away on the free ads aged 11. We quickly discovered he had an inoperable brain tumour and was too poorly to be rehomed. Bob lived with his foster family for 9 happy months and sadly passed away in September 2017 age 12

Daisy & Betty
Daisy & Betty were both adopted from BRNGB (separately) and both sadly passed away within 3 months of each other last summer. Daisy was 14, we’d had her from age 9, she had been used for breeding. She was a (typically) stubborn, mouthy character. Betty came to us when she was 5, she was only 9 when she passed away, she slipped a big disc in her neck & it was inoperable. She was small, cute & cheeky. We miss them both terribly.

Nelson
My darling Nelson aka Nelly adopted April 11th 2015 with his little brother Tibs. He suffered greatly with his ears and ended up having 3 major surgeries which left him deaf but pain free. We sadly lost him on March 20th 2018 after an unknown illness (vet suspected bowel cancer) so he gained his wings. He was a troubled soul but the most gorgeous of hounds. We miss him dearly...
/Dodger

Dodger
Dodger on his 13th birthday. We transported him from his previous home as an urgent case. He came home with us and never left. He was 8 then and he lived until not long after his 13th birthday. He was John’s shadow and mourned him terribly when he died

Augustus
This is Augustus, Gus. Gus came to us as a foster with his brother. Gus really was the class clown. Gus was a little over 2. He took poorly over one weekend, we lost him just 5 days later. We were all devastated. There obviously was no question, his brother… obviously he became our boy Dylan’s new , permanent brother.

Casey
Honorary Basset Casey Beagle. Adopted from BRNBG. She wasn’t with us long but she was such a character. I still laugh at her antics every day. Especially eating 24 frozen sausage rolls for my Boxing Day buffet and spending the whole day sprawled out snoring and pumping contentedly to my families disgust 🤣 She was my best friend through lockdown and is sadly missed.

Great work, no hound gets left behind. A true sentiment that is the embodiment of what this organisation is about. Great work team.

They do a good job of saving these hounds and finding special homes for life. They also work hard to raise money to pay for any vet bills.

Thank you for sending my recent purchases from your shop. Very efficient and wonderful quality merchandise, particularly the canvas/hessian bags and the t-shirts

We have the privilege of adopting Dylan. The whole process was seamless and very reassuring that they cover all bases, both in relation to vetting us and also in the assessment of the hound
