Some of you have asked for an update on the baby boy Claude who arrived with us in May 2021. You may reacall this boy arrived with us at 3 years 7 months old, and he was skeletal, literally skin and bone.
On arrival:-
Within a couple of days after arrival Claude was showing serious signs of being very poorly. He needed emergency surgery to remove foreign bodies in his stomach which had casused significant damage internally.
What was removed:-
Here’s what his foster mummy, who just couldn’t let him go and went on to adopt him; and who could blame her after going through such trauma with him, waiting outside vets for hours on end; rehab; appointments; loving and caring for him
Claude now:-
Firstly I cannot believe it’s been 2 years since this little man came into ours lives.
What can I say? Claude went through some very tough times as a pup and when coming into rescue he was emaciated and I don’t use those words lightly.
The next few weeks he fought for his life and almost had to be put to sleep, but you all got behind him, even though the vets gave him less than 10% chance to live.
Well this little man fought for his life and has gone strength to strength, I totally foster failed, although almost gave him for adoption but my heart couldn’t do it.
Today he is a true basset ! Loves his grub, cuddles, the sofa and teaching his two besties how to play bitey face…..they are chihuahuas
Without BRNGB and the complete team, transporters, home checkers, supports Claude would not have lived.
Without his army, he would not be here today.
Thankyou everyone for giving Claude the chance of life, for raising all the funds needed for his surgery which ran into thousands, and for giving me the chance to adopt cheeky, naughty, loving and downright adorable Claude
Thank you, thank you, thank you, love from Claude’s mummy xx
