Meet Blossom!  Blossom started her foster journey with us back in October 2020.

Here’s what her forever mum has to say about her

Well what can I say ….. Blossom, after losing my two boys Jake & Elwood our home became very quiet.

I was poorly and sitting home alone all day while everyone was out was horrible. It was on one of these days I was reading blogs of hounds needing homes. There she was … Steve said straight away “let’s apply”.

After our telephone interview with her amazing foster mum we made the 5 1/2 hour trip to meet her.  I was actually scared, she sounded a right madam …….. but up bounced this beautiful loving girl who just melted my heart.

Yes she has some complex issues but we’ve all learnt to live her way!  She’s been with us 2 1/2 years now and has once again made our house a home.

She loves meeting people and on our walks she has her friends that once she meets we have to walk with.  Lexi & Luna the black labs are her besties (she parks herself inbetween them) then we have Ollie the cocker spaniel who’s her toy boy and Meg the retriever! Such a social butterfly!

She loves her walks especially the one past the bonio biscuit lady’s house where she picks up her biscuit or two in exchange for a cuddle.

Her diva moments indoors continue albeit not so much and where she had issues having her harness put on that’s disappeared.

We continue with her training and she lets her dad cut her nails, although not willingly, but her high value treat makes it worth it.

When I read her blog I knew she was for us and the love she’s brought to our home is beyond measure.

There is no perfect dog, you learn by them, you learn how to adapt by reading the signs they tell you. She’s not perfect but I’ll tell you something

Blossom is simply the best

We are so pleased Blossom found her forever family who understand her needs, she really is a very special girl to us all and we’ve loved seeing her settle and thrive in her home.
