You will all remember Lulu and Pippa, and Buddy and Skye who came from a breeding establishment earlier this year? Well we knew there was another basset there being used as a stud dog, however the owner was not willing to surrender him.

As always, Wally is under assessment and is not ready at this time to find his forever homes. Any enquiries regarding his adoption will go unanswered at this time.

Fast forward a few months and meet Walter, Wally to his friends who has joined us this weekend. Yes Wally is the stud dog. Unknown to us he was rescued by a supporter around March time, and they have looked after him ever since. They’ve had him neutered and started his journey into living in a home.

Sadly, Wally didn’t settle with one of the resident dogs, and we were recently contacted to see if we could help. Of course we said yes, and we were so relieved to hear that he had been out of the establishment for the last couple of months.

We don’t know how old Wally is but we will be doing some investigation to try to find out a little more about him.

Wally has been described as a bit of a bimbo, into everything, a lovely nature, no aggression, pulls like a train on lead, loves car trips and has put on some weight which was much needed.

He arrived with us yesterday and is finding his feet, a little unsettled last night but that is to be expected.

Wally does need some training treats and a new bed, a link to his wish list is below. If the list is empty all his wishes have been granted. If you would rather donate to his care then you can do so using the link below.
