You will all remember Bertie, one of the Fab Four who arrived in February.  Bertie is the young hound that needed face surgery which included a face lift as well as eye lid surgery, not a decision which was taken lightly, but one that had to be made to ensure that Bertie did not lose his eyesight due to the skin folding down into his eyes.

Well, we are over the moon to say that Bertie has found his forever home.  He spent a long time with his foster family who went above and beyond transporting him a long way for his surgery, all the after care as well as attending to his usual day to day needs.  Even their resident cats moved out of the main house to accommodate this boy!

Enjoy your new home Bertie, your new family love you deeply already and your foster family will miss you, although maybe not the cats or chickens!

Here he is, in typical basset mode……”see ya fosters, this is now my home!”

Thank you so much to your foster family, we know it was a hard decision but the right decision for all to send you on your way.  THank you also to all of Bertie’s volunteers and supporters, without you, he wouldn’t have got the surgery he needed.

We wish you well Bertie
