We now have the estimate and Willow’s clinical summary, both of which can be read below.
We won’t repeat what is within them, but what we will repeat is a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far to Willow’s surgery.
We are just over £1,600.00 which is brilliant as we are half way to the lower end of the estimate. We still have a little way to go to get to the upper end.

💖 A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far to Willow’s fundraiser!
We are absolutely thrilled to share that we’ve now raised just over £1,500 towards our £4,000 target – we’re nearly halfway there, which is incredible. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity.
We are still chasing the specialist for Willow’s report and will publish it as soon as we receive it.
In the meantime, Willow continues to be… well, Willow! 🥰 As her foster mum says:
“This lovely girl was born with an abundance of the happy gene 😃”
Willow has also just started her season, but that certainly hasn’t stopped her being playful, loving, cute, funny and wonderfully snuggly.

Little Willow as been a wonderful girl since her last update. Very playful still and she is learning “spot” so she can have some down time and rest, which she needs as she is still so young.
Willow visited the local watering hole recently where she was adored by many! She has had a little flare up on her skin which foster mum has quickly started treating and this is clearing up.
Willow has been to the vet for her initial vet check. Again loved by all and she was as happy as ever to be there and examined. The sad news however, is that her eye is causing some concern; what we thought was cherry eye appeared to be “scrolled eye lid cartilage”, which the vet was concerned may need surgery called a third eyelid eversion. So Willow was referred to an eye specialist who she visited today.
Again, loved by all, even when she had a wee on the scales, the examination room floor and also managed to knock a bowl of water flying across reception. Nothing like starting on the wrong paw!
So the specialist has said that Willow needs surgery, we are currently waiting for the formal report, but the estimate for the surgery is in the region of £3,000.00 – £4,000.00; this made us gulp somewhat, but if it is needed for Willow’s future health then that is what is needed.
So we are begging again for your assistance to raise funds for Willow’s surgery. As soon as we have the report we will of course publish this so you know exactly what is happening; however if you are able to donate in the meantime towards Willow’s funds we would be grateful. Little Willow has really settled into foster life, her mum has described her to be a good, kind girl.
She loves running around after her foster sibling, and had a blast at the freedom field.
She has a small wish list if you are able to donate, just a couple of bits. We’ve included some cleaner as she does have a little sore neck, which will be checked out when she sees the vet shortly.

Please welcome one year old Willow into the BRNGB family. She arrived into our foster care at the weekend, so is under assessment. Please do not make enquiries regarding her adoption, as they will go unanswered at this time.
Willow has found her bestest friend in her foster sibling, and loves nothing better than charging around…..the resident BRNGB basset however is being aloof, but we don’t think Willow has actually noticed!
She’s being a very good girl, very respectful of the resident cat, not so sure about the resident pigs.
