Well Hugo and Ruby have really settled into their foster home and routine.
Ruby in particular was her spirited self, and was quite pushy and could be grumpy at the resident hounds, but this is settling down into a routine and learning how to be part of a larger pack.
Hugo is a very loving boy and likes to be as close to you as possible.
They have had their initial vet assessment, Ruby needs to be spayed, and both sadly need a dental as their teeth are quite a state. Ruby’s spay will be booked once we know the best time dictated by her seasons.
The vet visit was an experience! Both are very strong on lead; Ruby is not a fan of other dogs and neither were impressed with the large German Shepherd or the cat in the waiting room. But, they were superstars with the vet; they had a good examination and were very well behaved. The vets believes they are probably around 11 to 12 years old. We only have a definite birth date for Hugo (as detailed on his paperwork) which puts him at 10 years old, sadly Ruby is an unknown.
Hugo is a little on the chunky side but Ruby is a perfect weight. They have both started their vaccinations now.
Ruby is booked in for her dental on the 23rd July, her teeth are the worst out of the two and Hugo is booked for the 31st July.
We’ve attached the estimate’s below which total just over £1,213.78 together.

In the meantime, enjoy the recent photos as much as Hugo enjoyed cleaning foster mum’s plate when she dared to leave the room for a moment! (mind you it does look good)

Hugo and Ruby joined the BRNGB family yesterday and are currently in foster under assessment.
As with all hound, they have a full assessment for a minimum of 6 weeks before they are ready to be adopted; as always please do not make enquiries about their adoption, as they will go unanswered until they are ready.
Hugo and Ruby have been together all of Ruby’s life.
Hugo, the stunning black tri is believed to be around 10 years old, and is reportedly a bit of a diva when it come to getting fuss, attention and cuddles. Very human orientated.
Ruby, the pretty brown tri, is thought to be around 9 years old and appears to be a bit of a madam, or maybe spirited is a better description; she reportedly will be pushy with Hugo around food, attention and treats and is more confident than Hugo.
They arrived with their foster yesterday; after introductions to resident hounds, some dinner, a mooch in the garden they settled down well for the evening.
