22nd March 2026

Bertie has had a wonderful first 2 weeks in foster.

He wasn’t a fan of being left with his foster siblings on a night time and was waking everyone up in the early hours having a bark off with himself. This has started to settle with a little background noise and knowing that his family isn’t that far away.

He’s had his vet check and all is looking well for this stunning boy.

He’s a sun worshipper too, and loves nothing better than being laid out in the garden with his foster siblings. He’s also learning to share, the sofa, left over yoghurt spoons and a game of bity face!

Bertie is also going to grace us with his presence at our Spring Fling on the 28th March, this could be interesting with the buffet lunch and a pro counter surfer like him!

SPRING FLING March 28th 2026 – BRNGB

14th March 2026

Please give Bertie a big welcome! 🐾

Bertie joined us last weekend and turns 6 years old next month. He’s truly a big lad, and thanks to his previous owners he’s already had his weight brought down massively. As you can see, he’s now loving life playing with his resident foster siblings. ❤️

Bertie has been described as a bit clumsy, sometimes over-excited (and a little loud!), but deep down he firmly believes he’s a lap dog… and if he fits, he sits! 🐶

He’s happy around older children, though he’s not quite as confident with the little ones, and has a lack of personal space awareness.

After just one week in foster, he’s proving to be a very good lad. He’s not too keen on being left alone or settling at night, but he does enjoy having the radio on for company, which helps him relax.

Bertie also has a mischievous side — he’s a bin raider and would absolutely be a countertop surfer if given the chance! 😅

His back teeth need a little attention, and he’ll be having his vet check-up this coming week.

He’s already proving to be a very special boy, and we’re so happy to have him with us. 💙

Bertie doesn’t need a wish list right now, but if you’d like to support him you can donate to his fund using the link below, or buy a raffle ticket for our amazing dog & human hamper for £5.00 — link also below.

Welcome, Bertie! 🐾
