There are a multitude of reasons why you may see the same Hound blogged more than once:-
- There could have been a change in circumstances with the new family, financially, employment, health, having to move…………
- Once the newly adopted hound has their paws under the table, maybe they decide they don’t particularly want to be with the resident dogs despite being as happy as larry with the foster siblings;
- The hound who was being blogged may have been taken poorly or suddenly shows traits that haven’t been shown previously which means we need to close their applications and re-assess, and they never even actually leave the foster family between blogs.
The list really is endless, this is why we offer full rescue back up and will have back any of our Hounds at any time, and our foster families are more than happy to keep hounds in their care longer than the initial 6 week assessment when and if needed.
We’re sorry if people are upset and think that they have the perfect home for our hounds and we chose the wrong family, but you really don’t have the full picture of what has happened between the two blogs. You don’t know why we decided on a different family, or why the applications were closed.
Any hound that is re-blogged, the new proposed adopting family will be given full disclosure before any meet and greet; we don’t publish every single detail which is why we will have a conversation with you and you will with the foster family before any meet and greet is agreed.
We are a team of four who take applications very seriously, together with our wonderful team of fosters we strive to make the right decisions for our Hounds.
Sometimes decisions are taken out of our hands for the above reasons, and a million more.
Please remember the above when you voice your disappointment in not being picked, or state that we have let a hound down. We do not let ANY of our hounds down and are here for them for life.
When you apply you will get an automated response so you know we have received your application; please note we only consider applications via the website and only for hounds who are ready; email applications and applications for hounds who are not blogged will not be considered. Once the applications are closed we strive to let people know the outcome as quick as possible, but this can take time.
If you have any questions or queries regarding your application, we are more than happy to answer them, you can contact us via email or the contact us link.
Thank you for reading and understanding, Sam, Dawn, Sam and Jo – the BRNGB Team
