Betty arrived with us earlier this week. She’s an older girl of 14 nearly 15.
She’s really making herself at home in foster. She is under assessment and is not avaliable for adoption, any enquries will go unanswered.
Betty is double incontinent so needs nappies, she’s as good as gold having her nappy changed.
She had a lovely waddle to the vets yesterday, they are a little concerned about her weight, as she is on the slender side at 17.2kg and her blood sugar is high so she is having little meals 4 times a day. She loves her food.
She’s a little stiff in her back end which once her muscle tone has built up and her weight has gone up a touch then more investigations will be made as to whether there’s an issue there or not.
All in all she’s a lovely girl and has made herself right at home, even made friends with the resident tortoise!
We’ve put together a wish list for Betty, if you could donate anything to help keep her comfortable, snuggly and clean we would be very grateful. Her list is below.
If you would like to donate towards Betty’s care this can be done via the donation link on the website – a link is also below.
Thank you very much for your continued generosity #nobassetgetsforgotten
