It’s been a while since we had a welcome to the family! We have been busy in the back ground, so here’s a round up of some of the hounds who have recetly come into the BRNGB family
Please note all these hounds are under assessment, so please no applications for them at this time, they will go unanswered.
Meet Buddy!
Buddy is 8 years old and recenlty joined the family. He’s currenlty loving life on a small holding with lots of basset siblings, chickens, sheep, turkeys and has previously lived with rabbits and cats.
Buddy is suffering at the moment with some pain in his back which has been checked by the vet and he is currently being monitored and on limited excercise. We expect Buddy to make a full recovery.
He’s a lovely lad who really is a joy to have in the family.
Next is this lovely girl Daisy.
Daisy is a wee little pocket rocket at 4 years old. She’s a cross with, her previous owners believe a Staffy (mum) and dad was a full basset.
She had a bulshy start to coming into foster and gave her basset and lab foster siblings a run for their money, but she’s settled into foster life well. She loves nothing better than barking at the resident horses, splotting in the sunshine, having a walk, chasing the foster siblings and napping!
Next up is Hugo.
Hugo is 6 years old and has been an absolute joy since joining the BRNGB family. He loves everyone and everything he meets, cats, dogs, humans.
He does like to make his feelings known when you go out and will bark about it for 10 minutes or so but soon settles. When you come home he’ll grab the nearest toy and bring it to you chuntering at you about how you left him!
He loves balls, and will happily knock them back to you for you to throw them again, a basset that plays nose ball and fetch! (watch to the end of the video!)
Lastly meet Scout, who is 3 years old. We know she’s not a basset, but she is a hound and we do help hounds too!
Scout can be strong on lead, loves people including little humans and can jump for England!
We were contacted by another rescue, Warrington Animal Rescue, who were struggling to accommodate Scout, as are a lot of rescues at the moment, to see if we could help this hound, and of course we said we would.
She’s a lovely girl who is enjoying having her foster humans around as she does suffer with seperation anxiety.
We’re so pleased we were able to help another rescue in what is a very trying time for us all.
