Thank you to everyone who came along yesterday.
It really was a Spring day, from sunshine, to hail, snow and rain
Around 30 people joined us for our first social event of the year, I think there were more hounds than people, ranging from 11 months old to 13 years old. A wonderful mix who all behaved so well.
Lots of food, and only one Hound broke the barricade – we won’t mention names, but he’s a current foster hound who loves a countersurf!
A lovely raffle with some wonderful donated items now all with new homes.
Games of catch the crab stick for some prizes.
But most importantly lots of chatting, getting to know you and so many hound cuddles.
The hall was just the right size for basset fun and it was lovely to see some of you enjoying the beautiful surrounding area to have little decompression walk when it all got too much.
You lovely people raised around £400.00 for the hounds in our care which we are incredibly grateful for.
It was wonderful meeting new faces and seeing old friends again. Watching the Hounds play so nicely.
These events are about getting together for our love of Hounds, enjoying everyone’s company and if we raise some money in the process that’s a bonus.
Thank you so much for coming, and of course our set up and clean up crew who left the hall spotless.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Our next even will be Camp Basset, you can just come for the fun day you don’t have to camp for the whole weekend. See you then hopefully
I must confess, these photos have been stolen from people, if you have any more, please do send them over – [email protected]
