David Rowe’s 3 Peak Challenge

David an adopter and foster of BRNGB, and Stanley are scaling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent; a continuous circuit, covering 24 miles, an ascent of over 1600 meters on the weekend of the 29th April.

They are hoping to complete this gruelling challenge within 11 hours, the average completion time is 12 hours.

Stanley is one of BRNGB’s very own Millie puppies so he is hoping to make the whole trip to raise some funds for his future BRNGB siblings of the future.

We are sure you will agree this is a massive challenge, one that maybe David is now wishing he hadn’t agreed to!

We’re behind you all the way David and Stanley and we know you can do this!

Here’s what David said about the challenge:-

So it’s just something myself and some work colleague come up with to push and test ourselves; so why not make it for a good cause .

Myself and Stanley can clock some miles ; so we will shortly be doing said longer walks but start timing them.  We can smash 6/8 miles easily But 24 miles is an whole new venture.

Weather depending Stanley will also be doing the 3 peaks , drinks, food and of course scooby snacks all packed up and  basically try do it as quick as possible, at a guess approx 11 hours…….but completely honest I haven’t got a clue!

My only hope is to now raise funds for Basset Rescue Network of Great Britain
