Although we are never actually ever closed, we do not complete adoptions or accept non urgent surrenders **read below regarding surrenders** on the run up to and through the Christmas period.

The main reason for this is so Hounds are not moved into new environments, which will naturally be busy during this period with visitors and excitement. Hounds need calm environments to decompress and get used to their new surroundings.

The break also gives our volunteers, transporters and fosters, some well deserved time off.

**We will still be working in the background, arranging surrenders for the New Year, adoptions for the New Year, supporting owners and we will discuss emergency surrenders during the closure period. Do not feel you cannot reach out to us during this period, just consider that non urgent cases may take longer to get into motion.

This year we will not be completing adoptions or accepting non urgent surrenders from the 1st December 2025 reopening on the 5th January 2026.

We are sure you understand the reasoning behind this.

If you are looking to surrender your hound, or need support, please do get in contact with us as soon as possible.
