What a fabulous weekend campers and fun day-ers had in Essex at Camp Basset.

There were games, catch the sausage, apple bobbing, races, very mini morning waddles, so much food, raffles, dress up, friendships made, chatter, bitey face, and a few little grumbles!

It really was amazing, and we are so very grateful to Tom and Sally for the loan of this wonderful space for us to enjoy and all the hard work they put in; all the volunteers who helped set up and take down. The amazing salads and cakes beautifully made and donated by Beverley Wrenn and all the fabulous BBQ meat from Ringrose Butchers in Broughton Astley donated by Hayley Ashton’s employers Greater Things.

Camp Basset, although is a BRNGB event, it is organised by volunteers every year and we are so grateful for all the effort and time spent.

Thankfully the heat dropped a few degrees for us; there was plenty of shade; paddling pools; water games; and a wonderful breeze.

We had bassets young and old. Folks travelled from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, It really was bassets of Great Britain! It really was a special weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came along. A fabulous £1400.00 was raised for BRNGB and we really hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Photos curtesy of various folk, thank you so much – if you have any you want to add please email them to [email protected]

Camp Basset will be back
