The wonderful Gaynor and Phil not only foster for us, and run our “X” twitter account – you will find us under Basset Rescue Network GB, but they also own the beautiful Hideaway at Halton – which I can honestly say is the perfect escape for you and your hounds.
I (Jo) have stayed here, the cottage is perfect, everything you could wish for to escape, you literally just need to turn up with your food, clothes and dogs. A fully enclosed cottage garden, with a secret bridge into a 1.5 acre paddock next door which Gaynor and Phil are happy for you to use (with prior arrangement). There’s chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and you could even go alpaca walking! If you’re really lucky, you might even be able to help out with the animals or the sit on mowers (as long as you don’t blow them up, not naming my husband here at all).
Not only is the cottage and land perfect, the surrounding area has so many dog friendly things to do, beaches, pubs, walks….and if you fancy an evening out without the dogs, Gaynor and Phil may be able to have your dogs for a few hours as well.
Gaynor and Phil are avid supporters of the rescue, and would like to offer you all a special price should you wish to visit, and not only do you get an amazing offer, but 5% of your stay will be donated by Gaynor and Phil directly to BRNGB. By booking direct you also don’t have to pay third party fees.
