10th January 2026

Well what can we say, our first adoption of 2026 and it’s the lovely Rosie.

She’s had a few little complications after her dental, they couldn’t stitch her gums completely and she managed to get a little infection, but she’s all recovered now and being such a good girl.

She enjoyed a little snow earlier in the week with her now sister; they are inseparable, even when Rosie gets a little jealous and wants to be closest to her new mummy.

We are so proud of you Rosie, you’ve grown in confidence and settled so well that your mum couldn’t say goodbye to you!

Huge thank you as always to everyone who helped get Rosie to where she is now, be that transport, donations, sending well wishes and of course her foster mum.

We know you are going to be so very happy, you enjoy those cuddles.

Congratulations.

29th December 2025

Well little girl Rosie is growing in confidence every day. She loves a game of bitey face and going for fun and games at the freedom field with her foster sister.

She’s also a very cuddly girl.

She had her spay earlier in the month and she’s made a wonderful recovery despite the mess her insides were.

So today she had her dental. Poor girlie had 6 teeth removed. All the staff at the vets adore her and her them.

She’ll be home soon to make a full recovery and be the centre of attention, not much change there!

We’re pleased to say that she has lost a little weight; this and her spay has really given her a new lease of life.

The estimate for Rosie’s dental is below. If you would like to donate to her surgery today, please follow the link below.

Be well Rosie.

Little lady Rosie is doing so very well, although her surgery did not go to plan yesterday.

She had her vet check shortly after she came to us, sadly there is nothing we can do about her eye, but the vet is certain, as we were told by her previous owner, she’s not in pain with it so we will be leaving it be.

Rosie has made herself at home and loves playing with the resident bassets; perching on the arm of the sofa to watch a bit of TV and is generally loving life. She loves playing at the freedom field with her friends, as you can see below she’s very active for her age.

Her anal glands were giving her trouble so these have been expressed; she needs a dental and also spaying. Her spaying was booked for yesterday, her dental was gong to be done at the same time…however the surgery didn’t go as planned.

During surgery, it was discovered that Rosie’s insides were a mass of infection, thankfully it wasn’t pyometra, but the vet said a few more weeks and it would have been. Her spay was therefore quite complex, and she is home with antibiotics with frequent check-ups at the vet. Her dental has been delayed for the time being and will be re-scheduled at a later date once she is fully recovered.

Rosie of course has taken all this in her stride, she had a good night last night and is back to her waggy tail this morning.

If you could donate to Rosie’s surgery, you can do so using the link below, or purchase a raffle ticket for this month’s amazing Dunelm Humphrey swag, link also below. We have included the invoices from the vet.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Rosie, she really is a little gem and just so very happy and funny.

16th October 2025

Please welcome Rosie who is 11 today!  Happy Birthday Rosie!

Rosie arrived in the BRNGB family at the weekend and has settled into foster life and is enjoying have foster sisters to play with.  She’s very playful and an incredibly happy girl.

As you can see she does have an issue with her eye.  From the information we have this has been present for some time and could well be something that we can’t do anything about.  She’s off to the vets tomorrow so we shall see (no pun!)

Rosie cannot have any vaccinations, when she was a puppy she had these and was very very poorly afterwards, so we will be speaking to the vet regarding this also.

She has a little wishlist which is below if you are able to donate.  If not, how about buying a raffle ticket to celebrate Rosie’s birthday or donate towards her care.  All links are below

Thank you so much for all your support.
