The lovely Norman who has been described as a bull in a china shop, stubborn, obnoxious and generally a basset; he who likes to barge his way through reagardless as to how many legs are in his way, or even who those legs belong to!
Norman however, is a lovely lad, and enjoys his walks, his cuddles and playing with the pack where he is in foster. He adores visiting his foster grandparents, in true Norman style he just makes himself at home.
Since Norman has been in foster he’s had his vaccinations re-started, his worming and flea treatments, his ears were deep cleaned whilst he was under being neutered. He was a happy boy at the vets and everyone loved him!
Norman travels well and enjoys going to the freedom field with his siblings, he’s normally in the middle of any rumbles!
Norman has settled in so well in foster, that his foster parents have asked if they can adopt him. He’s slotted in so well with the pack and enjoys their company so much, we haven’t the heart to uproot him again so of course we said yes!
Congratulations Norman, you’re a very lucky boy. Enjoy the rest of your good life!

Norman is a lovely hound, he’s very active and incredibly stubborn! He likes to be the first at everything and will door barge without a second glance!
He’s had a few teething issues with some of the resident hounds in the pack, he’s just goofy and doesn’t really read warnings very well, but he’s learning.
Norman has now had his gentleman op, he also had his ears deep cleaned when he was under anaesthetic. He’s also had his vaccinations and the vets are very happy with how he’s doing and healing.
He’s loves having a walk and walks really well, his favorite is to visit his foster grandparents, he’s really taken a shine to Grandad and vice versa

Please give a big BRNGB welcome to 6 year old Norman who joined the BRNGB family yesterday. The fouth Hound to join the family this month.
Norman is under assessment so please do not apply to adopt him, any Applications will be ignored and will have to be re-submitted when he is ready to be adopted.
Norman’s had quite the journey to foster, arriving in Edinburgh yesterday afternoon to spend the night with our own Dawn and her Pack before continuing onto his foster today. All of our transport volunteers said what a wonderful, well mannered and behaved boy he was. A real joy to be around and a true testament to his owners who clearly loved him dearly.
Norman enjoyed being with the pack, he particularly liked the smaller dogs and was very polite and listened to “instructions” from the pack.
Norman was surrendered when he lost his resident dog friend and wasn’t happy being on his own. We are sure he will thrive in his foster where there’s a pack of bassets waiting on his arrival later this afternoon.
Norman doesn’t have a wish list at the moment; however he does suffer with urine/bladder issues and possibly has an issue with his eyes so he will be having a vet check very soon. If you would like to donate to Norman’s care the link is below to do so. We have also included the link to this month’s raffle where you can buy a raffle ticket, all the funds raised go towards hounds like Norman in our care.
