Nellie was signed off by the vets some time ago, but being part of a bonded pair she was waiting for her sister Elsie to be spayed and signed off also before they were ready to be adopted.
We are so pleased to announce Elsie has now finally been signed off by the vet; these two wonderful girls who are so very much bonded have managed to convince their foster mum that they must stay forever, and of course foster mum agreed so Nellie has now been adopted with Elsie of course!
We are so pleased these two ladies stayed together and can live their best lives with the home they’ve come to know and love.
Congratulations Nellie!
Thank you of course to Nellie’s donators, supporters, transporters and her now family!

Well we have been very quiet about Nellie and her sister Elsie, not because anything is wrong, but because they are just so happy where they are, just getting on with life as a foster hound!
There has been a delay in Nellie being ready for her forever home whilst waiting for Elsie’s spay.
Nellie’s attitude to food has totally changed now. She’s lost the excess weight she had and she now eats normally and doesn’t obsess about food; she will actually stay in bed for another half hour rather than get up for breakfast now a-days.
She loves a cuddle and a lap to snuggle on. She has to be at the side of you especially at night and she has to be under the duvet!
You carn’t leave her too long as her foster mum has got her into a routine going outside to the toilet. Her confidence with the cats has come on as well, she’s started to bark at the not so confident cat but loves the other one. She will wine if she can’t sit with you on the sofa and she’ll paw until you make room for her.
Now her teeth are sorted out, she’ll eat anything she loves a cup of coffee and she will knock it out of your hands if you don’t give it too her
On arrival:
Nellie arrived with her sibling and really is Elsie’s confidence booster.
Nellie is a cheeky chancer, she’ll headbutt the fridge door, and scratch at cupboards making out she hasn’t been fed for weeks. She loves nothing better than her food and a lap to cuddle on
Update
Nellie came into the family at the end of October with her sister Elsie. We were told that they were not bonded so the original plan was they would come in and go to seperate foster homes. However within a few hours it was obvious that Elsie looked to Nellie for reassurance so it was decided that they would stay together. Thankfully their foster mum was happy with the arrangment so together they have stayed.
Nellie is a massive foodie…..when we say massive we mean massive! The first few nights she was waking her poor foster mum up…….not to go outside to do her business….but to scratch at the treat cupboard door for food!
She has managed to shift a little weight which was needed, but her favorite past time is definately telling anyone who will listed than she’s hungry and she really really REALLY needs a snack or two! She knows where all the food is and will happily spend a few minutes shouting at doors in the hope that they will spring open and all the food will tumble out!
She has had some dental work and will soon be ready to find her forever home with her sister Elsie, when she is ready
