Well, anyone who knows who had fostered Haggis won’t be surprised by the news that he’s found his forever home.
Haggis has been neutured, he’s had a dental, he’s been signed off by the vet.
Haggis is still showing signs of anxiety, he needs to be with his foster mum all the time, although he copes being left for short amounts of time. He’s settled into pack life and just bumbles through life in his own special way.
We know he will continue to improve with his anxiety.
Huge thank you to all of Haggis’ transporters, his first emergency foster home who loved him dearly, his foster, now forever, home and of course all of his donators.
Congratulations Haggis, enjoy your new life!

Since Marco and Warwick joined the family they have since been seperated so they can continue their journeys as independant hounds.
The main reason for seperation is they were both entire and ex stud dogs; although they lived at the same address they did not live together and two entire males together can cause issues.
In the initial days in foster when they were together Warwick, who is now named Haggis, relied on Marco for confidence so we sought a foster with a pack of Hounds where Haggis would fit in, and be led and comforted by the pack. He moved at the end of July and has been settling in well.
The initial few nights were strange for Haggis, being used to living in kennels it took a while for him to settle on a dog bed, or human bed! He had a few accidents in the house but nothing that couldn’t be cleaned up. Considering he was a kenneled stud dog he’s very loving with his humans. Food was a bit hit and miss in the initial few days so he was treated to all sorts of fish and chicken toppers to get him settled and eating.
He had his vet check at the end of July which went well. The vet was very happy with him and thought his weight was perfect 24.4kg, and he was booked in for his neutering which took place earlier this month.
Although his surgery went well, the vets found a unusual hernia which they also repaired at the same time. Marco also had a similar operation on a hernia as well so sadly it looks like this could be genetic with both boys. The vet said after the surgery that although they had repaired the large hernia in his groin, but she said with his age there’s no guarantee it wouldn’t return.
Since his surgery Haggis has been back to the vet weekly for a checkup. Hopefully he will be signed off soon but the vet said they just to keep an eye on his hernia as she is concerned with his age that the stomach might grow into the hernia hole, as he’s an older fellow so just keeping an eye on him.
Haggis is slowly coming out of his shell and finding his place in the home. We will update again soon on this wonderful boy.

Please give a big BRNGB welcome to Marco and Warwick who joined the family today.
Warwick (front, slightly lighter face) is 7 years old, Marco (darker face) is 6 years old.
Both are under assessment, so please do not enquire about adopting them, any applications will go unanswered.
Both boys were stud dogs, and are quite happy in each other’s company, however as they are both entire they will be making their way to seperate foster homes in due course to be assessed seperately. We think their teeth will need some treatment, they will both need neutering, and of course anything else, if anything else is noted.
Marco appears to have cherry eye which if treatment is recommended and needed we will get this arranged for him.
They are enjoying a fuss and are exploring the house and garden as well as making friends with the resident hounds.
They will be having their initial vet check in the coming days, and we will update afterwards.
