1st October 2025

Well we ended the month on little Lottie being adopted, and we’re starting the month with the fabulous vegetable stealing Boris being adopted!

This fabulous boy that arrived into foster like he knew exactly who he was and what it was all about settled so well and so quicky we were so happy when his foster family asked if he could stay forever.

So congratulations Boris, not only do you have your own humans, a playmate but your own snack patch in the garden!

Keep being fabulous.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, his transport volunteers, his donators and of course his family – who could deny this bro-mance?

The lovely Boris!  He’s such a Gent and settled into foster life like he’s never not been there!

He does have an additional issue with his ears (his infection has cleared up wonderfully)…. It’s called selective basset hearing, but can hear the fridge open from 100 yards away; and those little legs of his? they don’t stop him counter surfing; and boxes? well they must be presents for him and they must die at the jaws of Boris.

That aside, when the humans are eating he has impeccable manners at home and when out and about.  Not sure the folks of Carlisle were impressed with his signing when the Cathedral bells started and he had to join in whilst sat in the cafe.  He sings the same way when he decides he’s not getting enough attention or it’s time the humans moved their butts (sound up for the video!)

He loves nothing better than a good game, that lasts about 6 hours, of rough and tumble with his foster brother, thankfully he likes to join in too.  He’s also happy to go off and sit in the garden on his own, and loves to stand out in the rain.

Boris’ separation anxiety has really calmed down and when he is left now, and he will settle after the first few minutes with his foster brother near by.

He’s a very healthy, happy, fit boy, who wants to be friends with everyone and everything, and likes his veggies fresh.

The lovely Boris joined us last weekend.  At just shy of 3 years old he’s taken the first week of foster life in his stride.

Boris is under assessment, please do not make enquiries regarding his adoption as these will go unanswered.

He was a wonderful  boy on his transport to foster, and has enjoyed having a resident playmate to go hiking with.

He’s already had his first vet check.  He’s just a smidge over 23KG; sadly he does have the start of an ear infection so some drops and antibiotics have been given and we hope this nips it in the bud straight away.  It was a reasonable check up at £84.00.

Boris does not need a wish list, but if you would like to donate to his care whilst in foster, the link to do so is below.

We will keep you updated on his journey

Thank you as always to his transport team and his foster family.
