#NOBASSETGETSFORGOTTEN
Name: Panda
Sex: Female
Age: 7
Location: Berkshire
Panda is a very active, loving girl who is totally obsessed with balls, she even sleeps with them in her mouth!
Her foster mum describes her as being half Basset, half duracell bunny. In actual fact Panda is Basset x Springer Spaniel.
She is the most sweetest little girl who loves life, playing with other dogs and most of all….playing with her balls, she is totally obsessed with balls! Be ready to have one dropped on your head in the middle of the night!
Panda is fully housetrained and will stand at the door when she wants to go out.
She is currently in foster with two other bassets who she loves to play with and either sleeps with them, or sneaks onto her foster mum’s bed where she settles all night.
She walks well on a collar and lead, she’s not a fan of a harness. She can pull when she sees other dogs, but is happy to meet other dogs when she is off lead.
She can be wary of stranger people, once she gets to know you she is fine (especially if you have a ball!) and happy to have a snuggle.
She loves her food and eats from a slow feed bowl or she just inhales it otherwise. We haven’t found anything she doesn’t like to eat
She loves her walks and her recall is great. She loves to play and another dog would be great or older children who could keep her entertained.
Once Panda gets to trust you, you won’t find another dog more loving and she loves her cuddles.
She can be a bit barky when there is anyone about outside the house, she’s great guard dog, she will quiet when told
Panda travels well in the car and loves to be looking out the window. She’s happy to be boosted or lifted into the car.
Panda has shown no signs of seperation anxiety and has been left for up to 4 hours with no issues.
Although Panda is good with children, if there are toys in the mix she can get over excited, so maybe only older children would be considered.
Panda would love a home with another playful hound or two She does not like small furries so no cats, chickens etc.
All in all Panda is a lovely girl and who ever is successful in their application for her will be very lucky!
If so we would love to hear from you if you fit Panda’s criteria
