(Above) Bobby and Tina on arrival

Bobby and Tina are a bonded pair.

You may recall they arrived with BRNGB 8 months ago in a dire condition. Fast Forward 8 months and they are so happy and ready for their forever home

Bobby who is nearly 8 years old is a lovely tri, castrated male and Tina who is nearly 7 is the Tri. On arrival Bobby weighed 14.9KG and Tina was 14.8KG, they are now both a healthy weight.

On arrival Bobby was the thinnest we have ever seen, he had a scan and it appears that he had a form of IBS. After antibiotics he manged to put on weight and has not had a further episode. If this should re-appear it is treatable with antibiotics

Bobby:-

Both eat normal dog food, a mixture of wet and dry, there’s no requirement for them to have specialist food.

He loves people and having a cuddle; a very chilled boy who is loving life.

Tina is a sensitive soul and looks to Bobby for comfort and confidence. She is wary of new people and can be growly and barky but once you have gained her trust she will love you wholeheartedly. When scared or anxious Tina may have an accident by wetting herself.

Tina loves toys and to play.

Tina:-

Both Tina and Bobby enjoy their walks and both walk well on lead. When they first arrived, they ddn’t really know what leads and walking were so with time and patience they learnt and enjoy exploring the world around them.

Both are good at the vets and travel well in the car with no issues.

They can be fed together, however Tina will try to push Bobby away from his so she can scoff it herself.

When they first arrived they were not housetrained, however this has been worked on, and although there is an occasion when they have an accident inside, this is probably only about once a week if that and will need continued work as they settle into their new home.

They sleep well overnight and sleep in the kitchen at their foster home with the radio on, they don’t seem to like being upstairs.

They normally wake around 7am to start their days of basseting.

They’ve been left together on their own with no issues.

Tina is scared of children and needs a calm house due to her sensitivity so we will only consider homes with older children of at least secondary school age.

They are currently in foster with cats, chickens, ducks and a parrot so they can be homed with dog savvy small furries.

They are a bonded pair so will not be split. They are truly beautiful souls so anyone who does adopt them will not be disappointed.

Do you tick Bobby and Tina’s boxes?

If so we would love to hear from you if you fit their criteria

Bobby and Tina will not be split, they are a bonded pair.

Bobby and Tina need someone who is at home more often than not and prepared to put in the time to help them settle

  • Someone who is willing to work with them both, but especially Tina in building a relationship and trust and be patient whilst they get to know you and their new home
  • They are happy living with other dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and parrots.
  • Due to Tina’s nervousness we will not consider homes with children under 12 years old.  A calm home is needed for Tina.
  • Patience and time to spend with both in the crucial first few weeks as they adapt.

Taking on a rescue dog is not the easy option. You need to be prepared to help a confused and troubled hound find their place in your family. They have been through a massive upheaval and will need time to settle into a new way of life, so please consider this BEFORE you fill in an application.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Bobby and Tina are subject to an adoption fees and a successful home check. If your home check is successful, your family including dogs will need to be able to travel to their foster home to meet them and his foster family.

You will also have a telephone call with a member of the team, plus Bobby and Tina’s foster family, so that all of their history can be shared with you in person, and that we can be assured that you can fill all of their needs, demands and requirements.

Both come with 5 weeks free insurance via our rehoming partner, Agria.

Bobby and Tina, as with all of our hounds will have full rescue back up for life.
