Hugo!

You may recall Hugo was adopted not so long ago, however for reasons beyond everyones control, his forever didn’t work out. No fault of his own, and definitely no fault of the family who adopted him, sometimes it just doesn’t work.

Anyho, we don’t dwell, Hugo is back with us as we offer full rescue backup to all of our hounds.

We discovered he was suffering Entropion in both upper eyelids, and also Euryblepharona and lower Entropion in both lower eyelids. This was nothing that happened to him during foster or his adoption, it is something that wrinkly dogs can suffer with.

So his foster family arranged a referral for surgery and we were given an estimate of £2500.00 – £2800.00 which of course we said yes to. We are pleased to say Hugo had his surgery on the 14th November, and is recovering well at his foster home.

The final bill being £2574.22. You will notice his eyes look incredibly sore in the first photo, and can see the surgery he had in the second. He will make a full, pain free recovery. You may remember both Ludo, Fred and Taco had similar surgery.

This is why we fundraise so the hounds in our care do not have to suffer in pain, we can say go ahead to surgery, we can continue to fundraise to cover the bills, future bills as well as present ones.
