We get asked this occasionally. There are many reasons why the hounds may not be blogged.

Some remain with their foster families and are adopted by them; this is completely understandable, these families have spent at least 6 weeks with the hounds assessing them, helping them reach full health, helping them adjust to a new life, loving them.As such some just can’t let them go. It’s also sometimes best for the hounds, after spending a long time with a family they settle and are happy with their new families and it would just be too disruptive for them to be rehomed elsewhere.

Some remain in foster long term due to medical requirements and treatment. Some months and months, some for life. Some just can’t be adopted because of on going treatment.

Some remain in foster under behavioural assessment.

Some sadly, heartbreakingly are too poorly and come to us on palliative care to live out the rest of their lives receiving all treatment they require.

Some are also too broken by the time they come to us that they cannot be adopted due to psychological issues.Again they will stay with us as long as they are happy and it is safe for all for them to stay in our care.

Since we started rescuing and rehoming hounds in 2013 we have rescued 572 hounds. We do all we can for them to find them the perfect home, every hound is re-homed.You may not see their blogs, but they all find their perfect family.

Here’s some of the 572 hounds we have re-homed over the years.
