First to welcome to the family is Wilber.
Wilber has been with us for a couple of weeks now. He was so loved by his family who had him from a puppy.
He's a Basset x Cocker Spaniel and can be a fussy eater and has issues with resource guarding, from beds, to sofas, to treats, which his foster family are working on.
He also suffers from separation anxiety, something that we will work with him to try to overcome.
If he decides you are his person he likes nothing more than cuddles and scratches, if he doesn't know you, it's his terms only.
He is loving his basset foster siblings, and likes nothing better than a session of bitey face!
Look how cute he is
Next is Penny who arrived today
Penny is around 5 years old, a lovely lady. Sadly Penny was surrendered due to not liking a new baby in the house, or having to share her humans with a litter sibling.
Penny loves her food and is a little on the large side, but who doesn't love a squishy basset? She apparently likes to eat everything and anything so this will need some work.
Penny doesn't like being left initially but settles down quickly, and prefers a sniffathon over a walk.
She is a nervous girl around people and noises she's not familiar with.
Penny suffered an injury to her ear shortly before she arrived with us, she's had vet treatment but will be off to see the vet tomorrow first thing to be checked as it is quiet a nasty wound.
If you would like to donate to Penny's vet bills you can do so via Paypal -
Both Penny and Wilber will be undergoing a 6 week assessment in their foster homes, they will get whatever vet treatment they require. Once they are ready to be adopted they will be blogged on the website. lease do not apply for either at this time.
Thank you for reading about Wilber and Penny, and welcoming them into the family
