Peggy joined us on the 14th September at the grand age of 15 years old.
She settled into foster life well and has been enjoying short walks, mooches around the garden and eating chicken.
For her age she has been doing really well; loving shouting at people on her walks.
Sadly however, Peggy's health has gone down hill, she has suffered what we and the vet believe to be, a minor stroke. Since then she hasn't been herself, sleeping a lot and not really fussed about food.
In situations like this, we as a team will make a decision with the hound's foster family as to what quality of life the hound has. Peggy is happy enough in herself, however we beleive that her body has had enough.
Peggy has an appointment with her wonderful vet tomorrow, an appointment which might lead to Peggy gaining her wings.
She is not in any pain, she is still eating a little, drinking, and enjoy having a fuss, but we fear it is her time.
We will of course update you, but please do keep Peggy and her foster family, who love her dearly, in your thoughts right now.
Please enjoy Peggy's videos as much as she enjoyed making them. Honestly she has loved life the last month, really had a second wind, if it is her time, then we know she will cross that bridge surrounded by love, knowing that she's had a wonderful time with us all.
