Thank you for the birthday love

We are all incredibly touched and overwhelmed by all of your birthday love.

Looking through all the messages and photos we received yesterday really did remind us what a wonderful charity we have, all those hounds we have helped, all of those families we have helped.

Not only is it a wonderful charity but a fabulous community has been built.  Strangers are friends, helping each other, hounds (and not just BRNGB ones) are loved from afar.  We are so very proud of our charity.....and when we say "our", we mean everyone who supports us in any way they can, this is your charity too.

Remember.......it takes a village and my goodness we have the best village with us!

Thank you all so everyone for the £11 donations, that was very touching and very unexpected.  Thank you Kim for thinking of the idea and posting so others could get involved

Enjoy the last few photos we have been sent from Hounds from the past

Our Barley, or Boo Boo as he's become known over the years!

Out Toots, or Tootie Fruits as she's known!

Clyde, adopted March 2017. Loves his cuddles and being spoilt by all of his peoples

Barney adopted 2023 aged 12 .He loves the beach and life too

We have adopted 4 hounds from BRNGB, all characters! Bumble on the left is 4 and came to us at 10 months of age as a Foster- we fell in love with her quirky diva ways and could not let her go. Freddie, now 8, came to us as a baby of 8 months and he too was meant to stay and made that abundantly clear as soon as he walked through the front door. Cooper, soon to be 3 year old arrived with us as a Foster at a year of age. Cooper was bought off Gumtree by an elderly couple who were unable to cope with him. He had surgery to remove pebbles from his stomach. While in Foster it became evident that he had bilateral hip dysplasia and his behaviour was pain related. Intense hydrotherapy helped him immensely. As we are fortunate to have hydro on our doorstep, we decided to adopt Cooper June 2023. He still has his hydro on a regular basis, and is doing great, and this means surgery is avoided. Julius, now 9 years of age, is another foster fail! We adopted him November 2022 after fostering for 4 months. He was aggressive and had bitten another fosterer. He just needed love and boundaries put in place. He is the most loveable boy and we couldn't imagine not having him. In fact, we couldn't imagine being without any of them!

Freda (left) and Mabel, adopted May 2015, sadly both now at rainbow bridge.

Nog and Emma, two lumps of love and mischief. They have me wrapped round their paws and I'm happy to be there.

The 9th December 2023 was where it all began. A timid, skinny, frightened little Basset girl landed on my doorstep and took over. A lot of water passed under the bridge until, on 8th June 2024, Agnes, now a bold, noisy, fleshed out boisterous Basset became a permanent fixture here and A very popular figure in the district. I became a failed fosterer.

Jessie came to us as a foster during the COVID years and never left. She is my absolute cuddle monster, my support when I'm upset, my teddy bear at bedtime. When she came we didn't know what we were going to get as she had been passed around on the Internet with a reputation of snapping, just goes to show there is a perfect place for these dogs and she found hers.

Annie fostered & adopted on Good Friday 2017 My sweetest good little girl Annie

Belle - fostered 28 October 2023, adopted 15 April 2024.

My beautiful girl came with many issues, but has worked so hard to improve. She still finds the world overwhelming, but the progress she continues to make is amazing and it's just wonderful to watch her start to blossom. xx

Dottie - adopted 10 August 2019. My precious nervous girl, taken far too early on 9 November 2022. Xx

Our very mischievous, funny, lovable Sid. We love him endlessly

I was employed by Maude on the 19th of January 2015 as her personal assistant and I still hold this position to this day. She can be stubborn, opinionated, baffling, loving, goofy, complex, snuggly and loyal all in the space of an hour and I wouldn't have it any other way. So thank you BRNGB and happy birthday from me and Maude

Maffee & Ted … he's such a clown

Cooper adopted 2013, Zoey foster fail 2018

Update on Puppy Winston

They do a good job of saving these hounds and finding special homes for life. They also work hard to raise money to pay for any vet bills.

We have the privilege of adopting Dylan. The whole process was seamless and very reassuring that they cover all bases, both in relation to vetting us and also in the assessment of the hound
