Please welcome Crystal and a small wish list

Please welcome Crystal into the family.

We received a call from Social Services yesterday afternoon, Crystal's owner had been taken into hospital and she was home alone.  She was marked down as a removable object and they had permission from her owner to re-home her.

Thankfully they contacted us and we had a transporter collect her within 3 hours of the call.

Please note, one of the photos is very upsetting, we don't know how long Crystal was alone in the house.

Crystal will be 2 in September and has settled into her emergency foster home really well, trying to make friends with the resident hounds and claiming a spot on the sofa next to the humans.

She's been to the vets for a check up and to start her vaccinations.  It appears that she has not been to the vets since she was a puppy.

She had her nails cut, flea and wormer treatments and a general health check.  She has a limp with her front leg and the vet suspects Crepitus, which is a palpable or audiable grating or crunching sensation produced by motion.  She has a course of metacam and will be going back next week for a further check up and to start her vaccinations.

She will also need spaying.

We are very grateful to Social Services for acting so swiftly, and to our transporter who dropped everything to make sure she got to safety.

We have a little wish list for Crystal, her foster has already gone out and got most items she needs, so these are some treats for her to help her settle and have some items of her own.  If the list is empty her wishes have been granted.

If you would like to contribute towards Crystal's care the link is also below. Or you can buy a £2.00 number for the magic numbers which is currently running to be in with the chance of winning one of our coffee cups.

All links are below.

Thank you everyone for your continued support.

They do a good job of saving these hounds and finding special homes for life. They also work hard to raise money to pay for any vet bills.

We have the privilege of adopting Dylan. The whole process was seamless and very reassuring that they cover all bases, both in relation to vetting us and also in the assessment of the hound
