Belle joined the BRNGB family yesterday, at 6 years old she was a very much loved hound, but circumstances change and sadly her family surrendered her into our care.
Belle is under assessment, any enquiries regarding her adoption will go unanswered.
Belle suffers with anxiety, when she arrived at her foster's home, they spent a considerable amount of time with Belle refusing the leave the car, but that's fine, everything at her pace. Foster mum got a chair, sat on the driveway and had a chat with the transporter, neighbours brought them cups of tea and hot water bottles and there they stayed until Belle was ready.
When we say she is anxious, she really is......sadly pretty much of everything in the world. It's going to be slow progress with this girl, but she's already got very brave, went for a little walk up and down the street, explored the garden, kept popping back in to check foster mum was still there, and then........yes she was brave enough to get up on the sofa and put her head on foster mum's knee. Massive progress all within a few hours.
Belle suffers from epilepsy, which she is on medication for and appears to be under control which is great news for her.
We are looking forward to watching this girl grow in confidence which we are sure she will.
She doesn't need a wish list at the moment, she came with everything that she needs right now and we wouldn't want to start introducing too many new things during these early days.
We have included a link below if you would like to donate towards Belle's care.
As always thank you for your support, we are so grateful we have our supporters behind us so we can keep rescuing hounds like Belle.
