We are so pleased to announce Elsie has now finally been signed off by the vet, and she has wormed her way into her foster mum's heart............Elsie has now officially been adopted by her foster mum and of course with her sister Nellie.

We are so pleased these two ladies stayed together and can live their best lives with the home they've come to know and love.

Congratulations Elsie!

Thank you of course to  Elsie's donators, supporters, transporters and her now family!

Update 13th April 2024

Well Elsie, she was due to be spayed at the begining of this year and when she arrived at the vets she was sent home again, yes she came into season so she will be spayed in the next few weeks!

Elsie is a chancer, she is not enjoying her diet - well who does? She will fight for a crumb of food, clearly she is starving (she's not she just doesn't want to diet!)  so she is fed seperate to the other hounds.

She will paw for attention, steal coffee, and she smiles at you through her beautiful eyes.

She is the happiest of happy girls, her bum and tail do full circles when you come home to her.

Update:

Elsie is growing in confidence since arriving in foster, she's living with other resident dogs and cats.

She initially was very shy, but has just started to ask for strokes and cuddles which is amazing progress in such a short time.

Update

Elsie arrived with her sister Nellie in October, the plan was they were not bonded so would be spilt up, but Elsie really looks to Nellie for confidence. So together they stayed!

Elsie needs spaying but she is in the middle of a phantom pregnancy so we are havin to wait.

She is the more nervous of the two, it took a while before she would accept a human cuddle or lap, and when she finally climbed up on the sofa for a cuddle, her foster mum was over the moon!

They really are chalk and cheese but are such happy girls together and Elsie is really coming out of her shell

They do a good job of saving these hounds and finding special homes for life. They also work hard to raise money to pay for any vet bills.

We have the privilege of adopting Dylan. The whole process was seamless and very reassuring that they cover all bases, both in relation to vetting us and also in the assessment of the hound
