Lovely lady Beryl who has now been spayed is loving life with her foster dad and BRNGB hound brother Edward.
She is still needing a dental carried out which she is booked in for later this month.
She still likes to try to rule the roost, but loves nothing more than snuggling with Edward and her Daddy.....yes we said it, her "Daddy"
We are pleased to announce Beryl is the first adoption of 2025.
Although her Dad was adamant at the beginning of foster that Beryl would be a foster and would be off to find her forever home, he couldn't split the two hounds up. Well, that’s what he told us, we think he’s pretty smitten by her as well, and who could blame him (even if he complains there’s no room on the sofa for him anymore!)
Congratulations Beryl we are so very happy for you. Good luck for your dental later this month, we’ll be in touch nearer the time.

Since joining the BRNGB family Beryl has, although a few teething issues, settled well into foster life.
She has a foster brother hound (a BRNGB hound) who in the early days she would barge out of the way if he was getting a fuss, she really didn’t want to share her foster dad who she was really reliant on in the early days. This is understandable considering her background.
Beryl had to learn about asking to go outside for the toilet; you will remember Beryl was a breeding bitch who used to live with Haggis and Marco (both now adopted by their respective foster families) so she, like the boys, hadn’t been toilet trained. Accidents are now few and far between.
Beryl would also try snatching treats, something else we doubt she had experienced before; she is learning to wait her turn and realising that she will get one, and there’s no need to snatch or be worried.
When out and about walking she can be a little bit barky at strangers, and loves trying her best to catch a squirrel. Not too sure those little legs would move fast enough for that.
Beryl has been spayed which she bounced back from incredibly quickly. Since the spaying she has started to relax a lot more inside and outside. Thankfully the operation was straight forward, considering the litters she has had this was a concern as sometimes the insides can be quite messy after being bred from.
She really is a little star and has changed in character so much since arriving with her foster dad. This can only happen with consistent love for which we are so grateful to her foster dad for, and of course her foster brother who has been so very patient with her.
25th August 2024
Please welcome Beryl who joined the BRNGB family on Friday 23rd August.
Beryl is under assessment, so please do not make enquries regarding her adoption as these will go unanswered.
Beryl has just turned 7 years old, and is an ex-breeding girl. Beryl used to live with Marco and Haggis.
Beryl made her way down to her foster on Saturday and is getting used to being in a home and investigating all kinds of home comforts including cuddles with foster dad and foster sibling (also a BRNGB hound) on the giant bean bag!
We will update Beryl more as we get to know her and she settles into life.
She does need a few bits and pieces, if you are able to donate; foster dad has already got lots of things for her so the list is mainly home comforts. If the list is empty then all of Beryl's wishes have come true. We have also included the link where you can donate to her care if you would rather.
Thank you everyone who donates to our hounds, we really do appreciate every one of you.
Massive thank you to Beryl's transporters who got her to foster yesterday and also her emergency foster family for collecting her on Friday. All superstars!
