July 2024

So Sally was ready to find her forever home.  As you'll remember she was in foster with Sherlock and they formed a tight bond.  We knew both would be happy to be adopted on their own to their perfect forever homes, or maybe together if the right family came along.

Well as fate would have it, Sherlock had a meet and greet with his now forever family, the meet and greet resulted in Sherlock being adopted.......but not just Sherlock.  The family fell in love with Sally Pickles as well and spent a long while getting to know her as well as Sherlock.  After discussing Sally Pickles' needs and desires with her foster family, the family asked to adopt Sally as well as Sherlock.

Of course we couldn't say no as they are perfect for Sally, they met all of her needs and we were more than happy to agree with the foster family that it was a match made in heaven.......twice.

So Sally packed her bags and went with Sherlock to their forever home, where they have continued with their love of life and at the end of the day, snuggle up together in their forever home.

We just love it when everything falls into place for these hounds, we couldn't ask for better for either Sherlock or Sally.

Thank you so much to her volunteers, and supporters and of course her foster family, who have been left with two hound shaped holes in their lives.

Updated June 2024

Well Sally Pickles is being such a wonderful girl.  She still loves a play and a cuddle.

She's been spayed now, which was a long wait due to her seasons.  Some hounds stay with us for what feels like a lifetime just waiting to be spayed, but now she has she will be able to start her search for her forever home, which we feel won't be long.

She's still the loving, wonderful, calm yet playful girl she was when she arrived.

Update 13th April 2024

Now she has settled in, we can honestly say, she is the easiest foster we have ever had. Piccalilli (AKA Sally) is an easy going, calm, sweet thing with no vices and absolutely adores a cuddle. So although it’s going to be a few months before she’ll be looking for her forever home, it’s going to be a pleasure having her stay with us that little bit longer than normal.

Sally's spay won't take place until around June time because of her seasons, so in the meantime, she's a happy girl who is enjoying life with her foster brothers, and stealing all of the chew buffalo horns!

She does have the most disgusting habit of eating her own poop if you're not quick enough to pick it up, but that is pretty much her only vice!  She's just a joy to have around and loves everyone and everything!

Update:-

Sally joined the BRNGB family on the 25th November.

She has a sad back story, from what we can gather she has been bouncing around all her short life; the last family to have her didn't realise how big she was going to be when she arrived at their house with no name or no belongings.

A week later they realised they couldn't give her what she needs and surrendered her to BRNGB, who of course welcomed her with open arms.

At the moment she is settling into foster life, she will have her vet check soon and then hopefully we will be able to give more of an update and insight into Sally.

At the moment though, she's just being a hound who needs some love.

Update January

So Sally is now living a princess life in West Wales in foster - she is now affectionately known as "Pickles"

She is in foster with a pack of hounds and also our other foster Bagel Sherlock (remember the scared little lad?), and they really appear to be bonding, you can always find them up to something together or snuggling having a nap.   It may be that when they are both ready they will be looking for a home together.......

Sally is now in season so her next step will be to be spayed when the time is right.  She's driving the boys mad.....not with them trying it on with her but her trying it on with them!  She's exhausting them all poor boys!

She's a cheeky little girl, a little compact 19.6kg bundle of joy

We've updated her photos (mostly with Sherlock as they are never far apart!)

We have the privilege of adopting Dylan. The whole process was seamless and very reassuring that they cover all bases, both in relation to vetting us and also in the assessment of the hound
